SASKATOON, SK – SaskTel Centre announces that A Taste of Saskatchewan – Saskatoon’s annual food and entertainment festival are no longer taking place this year due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. SaskTel Centre has been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and was hopeful that we could deliver this popular summer event.

“After careful consideration, and in following the latest guidance from provincial authorities, we are sad to announce that SaskTel Centre’s two summer marquee events will not take place in 2020,” said Scott Ford, SaskTel Centre’s Executive Director. “Given the guidelines set out by the provincial government regarding mass gatherings, we are unable to proceed with these events. The health and wellbeing of our restaurant vendors, partners and staff is our top priority.”

A Taste of Saskatchewan was scheduled to take place in Kiwanis Memorial Park July 14 to 19, 2020 and would have been the 25th anniversary of the festival. A Taste of Saskatchewan is one of Saskatoon’s and Saskatchewan’s largest annual attended festivals, attracting over 100,000 visitors each year.

SaskTel Centre extends sincere thanks for your understanding and patience at this very difficult time. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all in 2021.
